MY CLASSES

 Sequencing

Are you seeking an intermediate yoga practice that will satisfy and revive you? Look no further! With a diverse background in various yoga styles, I draw inspiration from Ashtanga, Forrest, Iyengar, Vinyasa Flow, Lotus Flow, Anusara, Hatha, Yin, Kundalini, and Yoga Works to tailor energising flows that tend to physical alignment to give your mind a rest.

 Approach

I’m here to help you advance your practice and learn more about yourself holistically. The longer you practice, the more you notice that the same poses feel different daily. What comes easy on Tuesday may prove a struggle on Saturday morning. So take what makes sense and leave behind what doesn’t. Together, we’ll achieve our best selves.

 Rationale

Yoga is about showing up, doing your best, and letting everything sink in. I focus on building physical stability and strength while precisely synching the movement with the breath. Through this practice, you become stronger in both body and mind.

My classes are designed to clear your thoughts of what’s unnecessary, shift your energy, build your confidence, and give you space to indulge in joyous moments while preparing you to deal with discomfort in life without uncontrollable anxiety.

Note that I may not share the sweet words of some yoga teachers. Instead, I keep you paying attention to build awareness of the connection between the physical, emotional, and intellectual layers of your being.

 The Level of Practice

I aim to help you maintain your practice and progress on your yoga path. I mainly cater to the needs of the intermediate and advanced yogis. While everyone is welcome, it is recommended that you take a few beginner sessions elsewhere before you join me in class. I work best supporting students who are at least 2-3 months into their yoga journey.

The majority of my current students have a sustained practice. Each class offers options to modify the poses and respond to how you feel each day. You do not have to be flexible and jump into arm balances or inversions to join us, but you need to share some basic understanding of asanas and breath to transition with awareness from pose to pose. Once acquainted with yoga basics, you will have a more pleasant experience and fun on your mat.
